Concept
Help with medication describes the extent to which the patient is independently capable of using medication and is a part of self-care. This only concerns the aspect of independence and not the specifications of the medication.
Purpose
To promote safe and proper use of medication, it is important in patient care to know whether the patient is capable of using the medication independently, or if the patient needs help doing so.
